In honor of Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, the ASPCA is trying something new this June. Unlike past commercials, this video does not tug on heartstrings with the use of weepy 90’s songs and pictures of neglected pets behind bars. This time the ASPCA is focusing on an added bonus of pet adoption that is often forgotten - the possibility of owning the next internet sensation. With the tagline, “Millions of viral videos waiting to be adopted,” the ASPCA wants to remind folks they could be missing out on a cat destined for internet stardom. So check out your local ASPCA, because the next Maru could be out there just waiting for you.
