In a guerrilla stunt involving two kids and a few brochures, the Thai Health Promotion Board points out the hypocrisy of adult smokers. The anti-smoking ad, in which the children approach adult smokers and asked them for a light, is being said to be one of the most effective ever. Each adult denied the children of their request and supported their reasoning by listing the harmful effects of smoking. The child then hands them a note stating, “You worry about me, but why not worry about yourself?” and included the number to a help hotline for those addicted to smoking. Each adult approached held on to their brochure and the foundation reported a 40% increase in calls to the hotline.
